Steve Zagor has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of the hospitality industry and has extensive experience in the planning, development, analysis and management of a wide variety of projects with particular emphasis on the food service industry. As an entrepreneur, he developed and owned a multi-concept restaurant/retail/catering group, and later he owned and operated an award winning limited service restaurant and retail marketplace. He was the Manager of Hospitality Consulting for ten years with Laventhol & Horwath and later for Coopers and Lybrand, specializing in Food and Beverage businesses. He was the General Manager of a $10 million sales New York City restaurant complex. He has a Masters Degree from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
Mr. Zagor is a preeminent consultant as well as the Dean of Culinary Business and Management Programs at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. In addition he is a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Food, Nutrition and Public Health at New York University. He is a frequent speaker for hospitality groups and has been quoted extensively in industry and general publications. Mr. Zagor appeared as a contributing expert on the Food Network’s Recipes for Success. He served on the Board of Directors of a restaurant company at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and is a board member of a large Long Island based multi-faceted contract and restaurant corporation.
